Best View in Desoto County Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Jamie Z: After a series of DNFs, I rode down to take a look. I regret to say that the cache is gone. Unfortunately, the camera and logbook are gone, despite both being labeled with my name and phone number.

The cache was not behind a fence. It was just off the road behind a tree. I'm fairly certain someone came along and found the cache on accident. Despite the container being marked with my name and phone number, I haven't heard anything. [:(]

Geocache Description:

Like the good ol' days. Ammo box in the woods; go find it.

This is the type of cache which I like to find myself, and I came across a great place to put it. With the exception of possibly Walls Overlook, this is the most scenic place I've found in this cotton-field-flat county. Always good to have another ammo box in a great location.

The cache is very near the road, although the terrain could be rough. The road is narrow, so take care where you park.

You'll be looking at the flood plain of the Coldwater River, which feeds Lake Arkabutla to the west.

My apologies to BDD for hiding yet another cache outside West Tennessee and thanks to Bitbrain for the name suggestion.
