This cache is a micro on a well traveled cement path that leads you from Wasilla to Palmer or Palmer to Wasilla. A nice evening walk will bring you here to see the sunset in the horizon, salmon and ducks on the lake and just maybe a skijet or boat zooming across the lake. BYOP due to room for only log in cache. Parking available on side of road down from landmark.
This trail is dedicated in the memory of Gary Thurlow, Mat-Su Borough Manager 1981-1987. He loved Ak and the Matsu Valley. Trails and parks were his passion. Gary cataloged the trails throughout the valley.
