Geocache Description:

Welcome to McCauleys beach, our favourite part of the illawarra!

The name “Cliffies” derives from what a mate and I call the surf spot straight out from where the cache is hidden.

The cache is a smallish plastic container hidden on a very popular walking strip between Thirroul and McCauleys beaches. In summer, be aware of muggle activity as it can get very busy. If approaching from the south ( D.H. Lawrence Reserve ) feel free to bring the dogs but go no further past the cache as Thirroul beach doesn’t allow dogs.
It is a safe cache for the geokids but just be aware of the rock edges and of waves if big surf.

After finding the cache, make sure that you go down for a swim at either beach but watch out for the blue bottles!
