vhasler: Three weeks after event... it is time to put this one into the history books. There were two green jeep TBs at the event. I have claimed one (and it is now in the hands of DMFlyer to grab), but the other one has not been logged -- even after e-mailing all those who were in attendance. Hopefully it will turn up soon.

October 2006 gathering of the TriCities GeoCachers
As locals know… "TheEastman" is one word referring to the employer of several geocachers in the area. The company park is available to host gatherings. Unfortunately, have learned that the larger (four table) shelters are booked solid on Saturday nights from June through September (thus could not have in mid-August as originally planned). Reservation is now made for October 7th 4-10PM at Shelter #30.
So visit caches up in Kingsport's Bays Mtn park, and then come down for dinner. Propose that we light the charcoal at 4:30PM for grilling to begin at 5. Will need a second grill if someone has something portable. Bring a picnic dinner with some stuff to share. Will have table cloths, paper goods, charcoal, and bagged ice already there. Also please bring folding chairs.
As usual, mark the distance from your home. The coords are for the field in front of shelter. Bring something to represent you. I want to see how consistent these GPS devices are, so when you arrive, please leave your item where you think this spot is on the earth. Will give us a conversation starter. There is also shuffleboard surface nearby. Will have a pairs challenge tournament as a mixer.
