This cache is one of four placed around the Wasilla area in honor of those die-hard cachers that can't get enough caching and mingling during the first ever MATSU Geocaching event or for those New Cachers to test their new found skills on this micro that can be found in the heart of Wasilla! "WELCOME TO WASILLA".
During the summer this area is "The Gathering" place of many family and friends to enjoy the sunshine, waterway and area.
AK State Highway RT #3 runs past this park. The Hwy was offically designated George Parks Hwy in honor of George Alexander Parks in 1978 for his overall contributions to the Engineering Corp of Alaska.
