Take a Hike Keyhole Sink is the fourth of a series of caches we plan to launch in Northern Arizona. It is located off Old Route 66 near Parks, AZ. Due to several ravaged caches at this site we have decided to use a Micro magnetic altoids tin for the log. PLEASE bring a writing implement as there is no room in the cache for anything other than the log.
The trail head is across the street from the Oak Hill Snow Play parking lot, through the pole fence and gate. There is a Forest Service interpretive sign and guest log at the end of the trail. As you look across the little bowl you can see a volcanic cliff which forms the bowl, note the darkest section of the cliff. Cross over and you will find rock art on the left side of this dark area. Remember look don’t touch the oils on our skin can affect the art. So grab some water and hit the trail.
Additional Cache’s near the trail.
