Geocache Description:

Come and visit the ducks of Frenches Pond

Frenches Pond is an oasis of tranquility, in a corner of the town of Redhill.
We haven't been able to find out much about the Frenches Ponds. But here are a few facts/ assumptions:
* The original ducks were put there by a well meaning local!
* The ponds were possibly part of the Frenches Estate.
* It is possible that there was once a mill or that the ponds were dug as a result of brick making.
* There was once a tannery to the east so the ponds could have been part of the that operation.
* A few years back the ponds needed to undergo vital maintenance works, in the meantime the ducks went on 'holiday'.

Any other facts, gratefully received.
