Pine Mountain Wildlife Traditional Cache
www.astro-tom.com: After visiting the cache site myself, I confirmed that this one has gone missing. Since its time to let the underbrush regrow anyway, I am archiving this cache. Thank you to all that have visited "Pine Mountain Wildlife" over the years.

Located near McGill Campground in the Los Padres National Forest,
this full size cache is easily accessed from above.
Beautiful birds, squirrels, chipmunks, lizards, deer, and even a
coyote were seen in the hour that we took to place the cache.

There are two ways of approaching this cache, and I definitely do
not recommend doing it from Mt. Pinos Road below! Make it easy
on yourself and park in McGill Campground. From this one spot,
you can also walk to "Per Ardua Ad Astra" (GCH6C3). If you choose
to picnic in the campground, it's just $6/day. Camping is
$12/night. While there is no running water, the spaces are clean
and maintained and the camp host watches over the area very well.
Parking is free in front of the bathrooms. There are trash
dumpsters throughout the campground for your CITO efforts. My son
and I placed this cache while on a relaxing overnight camping trip.
The stars and Milky Way were an incredible sight from here! The
cache has a nice FTF prize and loaded with other goodies. Please
rehide the cache a little better than you found it. Enjoy!
