33-45-78 Traditional Cache
skeeterwart: Time to archive. Trails are not "trails" now and I don't want cachers to end up on private property that borders this area.

Located on Spindle Hill in Stow, MA near the Butternut Golf Course. Roadside parking on Wheeler at N 42 25.841 W 71 30.940 for a vehicle at the trailhead kiosk (which is about 30 feet from the Conservation Land sign).
Spindle Hill was named for the dogwood trees that once covered this area. Dogwood is a hard wood that was used for making spindles for the fabric mills to weave cloth. (But to us, a spindle is the center pin on a record player that holds the records in place as they go round and round under the needle- hence the cache name - and if you are too young to "get" the meaning of the cache name, ask your parents).
Take care to stay on the trails as there is private property nearby. This cache container is small. Please bring your own pen to sign the log.
Spindle Hill Trail is a part of the Stow Circuit Trail. For more information (visit link) [www.stowconservationtrust.org]
