Wayfarer's Walk is a long distance path which starts at Inkpen Beacon, this is also an end point of The Test Way. It is close to the site of Coombe Gibbet and follows a meandering route to Emsworth, some 70 miles. The path starts in Berkshire, but most of it is in the county of Hampshire. The path runs close to the highest points in both Berkshire and Hampshire as witnessed by the nearby trig points. Parts of the walk can get muddy and deeply rutted whereas other parts are an easier terrain.
The cache is located at the back of the Basingstoke Golf course, We have moved it to the other side of the path where hopefully it won't be so obvious to the golfers. Please hide carefully as this has been muggled once
This used to be a favourite walk when we had our Dalmation James he was a bit of a terror and didn't like other dogs,horses or anything that took him by surprise but at home he was as gentle as a lamb, so we had to find a quiet walk where we would not meet too many dogs. We always found loads of golf balls hence the name the kids loved it. It was like hide and seek a golf ball.

This is a layby suitable for a couple of cars but on the busy A30 so please be careful with children and geodogs
