Depending on the approach taken, this can either be a 1.5 or a 2.5, rating for terrain so I selected a 2. The find itself is pretty routine and should not take much searching for. These coords are for the parking lot. Clues for this cache will be placed in the #4 Myrtle Beech cache container.
NOTE!!!!! As of 9-18-07, I have made a change on this cache. It is no longer necessary to complete the #4 cache to attempt this cache. In turn, I have palced a match container, with the coords, to the location of this cache. Go to N 42 40.912 W 077 53.209.
All six of theses caches can be claimed as individual
finds. This one is kind of cut and dried, so to speak. Well, except that there are two ways to go to get to the the cache site. But that's in the clues. I took the stream bed and it was a fun hike with Bo swimming and splashing most of the way. This stream is really up and down and about as changeable as a woman. It does not seem to take much rain to bring it up to almost un-walkable and then the next day it even disappears into the shale bottom and reappears a short ways down the dry creek bed. No matter what stage it is in, it is a joy to walk. It is about a .5 hike, whichever way you choose to do it.
This is a theme cache, and the theme is kids. So the cache is just packed with things for the little ones. There is a lot of it, so even if you don't have a trade item take something for the kids anyway.
Don't forget to get your clue, IF YOU NEED IT, for the last cache #6. The Ravine(my favorite) PLEASE REMEMBER TO ONLY COPY THE CLUE, AND NOT REMOVE IT FROM THE CACHE CONTAINER. Do Not block any lane-ways when parking your car.
