The SQ in the cache name above signifies Spirit Quest, a project by
the Northwest Ohio Geocachers to distinguish those caches that are
set in cemeteries or memorial gardens. This cache is part of that
series created by NWOGEO members to highlight cemeteries in the
area. Please be respectful, and observe the posted hours, which are
generally sunrise to sunset.
Stand facing the Woodford memorial. You can’t miss it. It is sort
of tan. Turn to the north. Now don’t get stumped. Find David White.
He lies at your five o’clock.
Add the numbers in the year of his birth and multiply that number
by the day of his birth. Add that number to N41-40.(409). Subtract
that number from W084-02.(330).
Did you notice how old David was when he died? If you think that
living in Ohio in The Good Old Days was a picnic, note some of the
life spans of that era. Many a family lost children. It was
especially hard on young’uns, mainly before they reached five years
old. Check out the man who lost two wives, both in their early
twenties.
