How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

A short walk from the road side, however can be very wet under foot. Please do not park in passing places and dogs should be on a rope. This is a great place to explore with pinicles and caves, and a beach. Just be careful in among the rocks tho'.

This is a similar type cache to 'Sgeir nan Willie Mhor' a bit of clambering is required, and a torch may be a good idea.

The stone structures/pinicles in Oisgill Bay are worth a visit alone. Wildlife is also in abundance, also. The whole Waterstein Area has plenty of walking and things to see to make a full day out, including the famous 'Neist Point' Lighthouse. You will without doubt be impressed with the views.

If your into Trig pointing, there is the 'Waterstein Head' trig point.

The Cache itself is hidden inside the Shelter Rock and the Co-ords will take you to the entrance. After that your on your own. You may wish to look at the spoiler. Please note that the container is not waterproof, so replace it in a dry area and make sure the bag containing the logbook is sealed carefully.

Aye,

J33P KN.
