Big Old Honkin’ Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MAES: Did a thorough check today and found that the property management had done severe tree trimming and were the probable removers of the cache. I am afraid this one will have to go down as history. It was one of our favorite hides especially since it was an award winner. We will consider other spots to perhaps hide another just like it since it was rather popular. Just have to get one of those round-tuits....

Geocache Description:

A Big Old Honkin’ Cache – Not a Micro

We have been watching the posts on the Houston Geocaching Society HGCS and have noticed a cry for an urban cache that is not a micro. We thought about it a while and decided to hide this big old honkin’ cache to satisfy those who would like to trade.

The cache is a 50 caliber ammo box with a surprise mounted on top. We originally stocked it with 13 model cars because it is our 13th hide, so bring trades appropriate to a “honking” theme.

This one should be no problem to find, but really watch out for muggles especially during the workday hours. Make note of the fact that the cache cannot be moved more than about 4 feet from its hiding place, so bring everything you want to trade with you and also bring your own favorite writing instrument.

As an FTF prize, we have left a keychain commemorating the FTF for Big Old Honkin’ Cache.
