Geocache Description:

This cache is not for the faint of heart. It is located on Granite Peak in the Beartooth Wilderness at 12,800'. This is the highest point in Montana, and is rated as one of the most technical high point climbs in the US.

We took the East Rosebud Trail also known as the Phantom Lake trail and we figured it to be around 16 miles from the car to the summit. Most of the people we meet up there had taken the West Rosebud Trail. This will most likley be at least a two day trip. I would suggest some serious research on your route before anyone attempts to log this cache.
I am not going to try and hide the location of this cache, if you can make it to the summit of Granite you deserve to find the cache.
Once you get to the summit, the cache is on the west ridge on the south side of the ridge under a few small rocks. Not more than 200 feet from the US Geological Survey Bench Mark.
This is a small clear plastic container, with a log book, pen, some stickers, a "roadster" traveling bug (Laminated peice of paper w/ a car printed on it), and toy helicopter.

I have provided photos of the general area below.
