Geocache Description:

Welcome the the Cleghorn Ridge road cache collection.

This is a series of caches setup to get you across the Cleghorn
Ridge road.

After being closed for over three years, this scenic dirt road
has been re-opened. It's a beautiful trip, about 15 miles long
from start to finish. Expect 3+ hours.

Each of the 20 caches are housed in normal "decon" containers.

About Cleghorn road. If you are coming from the west, it is
a clearly marked exit off of the 15 freeway. If you are coming
from the east, please be aware that what is signed as Cleghorn
Rd, the entrance to Lake Silverwood, is NOT the same dirt road.
(My old maps show it connecting through at one time, but I
cannot locate a safe vehicle route today.) The REAL east entrance
to Cleghorn Ridge road is located at 34 18.031N, 117 20.222W

Cleghorn Ridge is Forest Service rated "Easy", but does have
some interesting sections, that require the use of a decent
high ground clearance vehicle. No Honda Civics please.

Cleghorn Ridge Road has MANY forks along the way, but they all
lead to the same place. Most of the "Optional" forks range
from "easy" to "very challenging". All the caches are located
along the main, "easy" route.

This is also a "Green Sticker" Off Highway vehicle area, so watch
for speeding 10 years olds on dirt bikes around blind corners on
your side of the road. Drive slow and careful.

Be aware that this area is home to all kinds of critters.

Have Fun, see if you can find them all!
