Geocache Description:

Another cache at our favorite Woodland area, Oakley Corners. This is a 50 cal. ammo can not very far off of trail 1 at the corner of Dutchtown Rd and Hullsville Rd. No reason to bush whack in, until the very end! Please don't park near the houses down the street. I hear the owner is cranky!

This cache is dedicated to the man who first taught us to geocache. His name was Catches O'Houlihan. We ran into Catches on our very first geocache search. He was a bit gruff, and didn't smell very good, but he sure knew his stuff. After he watched us for some time trying to figure out this geocaching thing, he yelled "hey you two, I've seen better searching while looking for lint in my navel." The man had a way with words! He had told us he was in Washington State when the whole geocache scene took off. He was the one who told Dave Elmer to put a can of beans in the very first geocache! After that is when he developed the 5 Gs of Geocaching! He said the 5 Gs are:

1. GO

2. GET

3. GRAB

4. GIVE

5. and............ah...........GO!

Sadly and ironically, Catches died at the Army Surplus store in Nichols when a Delivery truck carrying empty ammo cans hit him in the drive way. On the up side, we think that's the way he would have wanted to go anyway. So, this is the good old type of geocache that Catches would have approved of. Enjoy and think of Catches when you go find this one.

Will be hard to find in deep snow.
