This cache is along the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) overlooking
Josephine Lake. Beginning at the PCT trailhead at Stevens Pass the
roundtrip distance to the cache and the lake is approximately 10
miles. Josephine Lake is a great destination to visit, swim, fish
and/or camp.
The cache was placed by Wenatchee Boy Scout Troop #8 while on a
5-day / 30-mile hike. Our trip started at Scenic, with the first
day to Surprise Lake, the second day to Josephine Lake, third day
to Lake Valhalla, fourth day to Lake Janus and on the fifth and
final day we hiked out to the Smith Brook Road.
