An urban multi-cache spanning the LaSalle Lachine border / Un multi-cache urbain traversant la ligne entre LaSalle et Lachine
Several Lachine parks present urban art in an outdoor setting. This multi-cache starts in the park just over the LaSalle border (sit and look out over the St Lawrence) and finishes by visiting a few of the sculptures in the park around the Lachine Museum.
The Lachine Museum includes the oldest complete buildings on the island of Montreal dating back to 1669. The Maison LeBer-LeMoyne once served as a fur trading post and was built by Jacques LeBer and Charles LeMoyne, two of the most important merchants of the colony.
The open air museum here and in Parck Rene-Levesque is the largest open-air museum in Canada. Try to visit at night, one of the sculptures is with light. The museum is in the process of refurbishing the signs identifying the works of art and the artists. While in the area, check out the other two caches in the open air museum: GCQAP0 and GCM2ER.
At the posted coordinates you will find a pill bottle providing directions to the next step in the hunt. There is a hint to help you find each of the containers (3) in this multi-cache.
Initial cache contents include a log, pencils and a sharpener. Trade items include a fridge magnet, a super ball, an eraser and The Lucky Unicorn travel bug. A Lucky 7 loto for the FTF.
Plusieurs parcs de Lachine présentent l'art urbain en plein air, exposé à ciel ouverte. Cette multi-cache commence dans un parc juste l'autre bord de la frontière de LaSalle et finit en visitant plusieurs des sculptures dans le parc autour du Musée de Lachine.
Le musée de Lachine inclut les bâtiments complets les plus anciens sur l'île de Montréal, remontant à 1669. Le Maison LeBer-LeMoyne servait de poste de traite des fourrureset et a été construit par Jacques LeBer et Charles LeMoyne, deux des plus importants marchands de la colonie.
Le Musée de Lachine avec Parc Rene Levesque comprend le plus grand musée plein air au Canada. Essayez de visiter la nuit, une des sculptures utilise la lumière. Le musée est en train de refaire les plaques identifiant les oeuvres et artitsts. N'oubliez pas d'aller voir les deux autres caches dans le musée plein air: GCQAP0 et GCM2ER.
