Geocache Description:

"IF YOU GO AT NIGHT, TAKE A FLASHLIGHT AND A BIG STICK. IF YOU GO DURING DAYLIGHT, STILL TAKE A BIG STICK." PJ

" The pale light of dusk softens the forest edges, welcoming the night. But there is nothing more unsettling of darkness, when she comes baring teeth." PJ

A tale so frightening it has to be told................

Journal by PJ August 23, 2006

"After burying the male T-REX years ago at Dinosaur Hill (GCXQW7) I was concerned that its mate was still lurking deep in the forest. I knew she must be there, her eyes following me as I cut through the woods, always staying on the safty of the paved trail. Still here, she must have lived quietly, if here at all.
So here I am, waypoint 1, back at the spot I have not returned since that fateful day where Mr T-REX began his fitful end. Where I smelled his breath. The first of four locations I will be setting up today. Oh ya, if your lucky enough to find the Raptors den empty, stay out of the tall grass. And if you find any T-REX tracks near the east side of the den, RUN. She may just be nearby.
At this spot many years ago I remember huddling down in the darkness, scared to even move an inch. Frozen in fear. The awful stench of his breath only a few feet away. Mr Rex was searching the air for my scent behind only a few inches of rotting wood. Deep long breaths that ended in a low guttoral growl. I closed my eyes to escape the situation, really, there was nothing else I could do. Thats's when the tapping started. And the clicking.
Tap, tap, tap. Click, click.
The sound came from above, in the tree, over my head. Something was with me, also hiding from the breathing and sniffing from outside.
Tap ,tap. Clickety click.
Then came a sound like children laughing softly, in whispers. Snickering. The haunting sounds made the rotten wooden walls of the hollow tree vibrate beneath my hands. Then the softest sound of movement. Nowhere to run. I slowly pulled my lighter from my pocket. I lit the flame. In that moment I saw what nightmares are made of. Staring down at me was.............."

This is the first chapter of a journal by PJ

The story starts at waypoint one " The Raptors Den " and continues on until the third and final cache. You will find his journal in each of the caches. Make sure to read each one to find out what happened at each location. Each cache is an Ammo Box camouflagged to match the surroundings. Be cautious and quiet on your quest and take a camera, you never know what you might see. You can share them here!
Coordinates for waypoint two are in the first cache. The coordinates for waypoint three are in the second cache.
Park at coordinates N43 08.186 W088 01.975. This is the entrance to Oak leaf trail. First stop at Dinosaur Hill, if you havn't already, to pay respects for Mr T-REX. (GCXQW7) And it wouldn't hurt to take a big stick, to hike with , that is. And if you run into PJ in the woods, hiding in a tree, show him the way out, I would like to meet him someday.
