Geocache Description:

This site boasts a beautiful waterfall that most people drive right by on Highway #1. This stop is well worth the 30 minutes to gaze up at the beauty of nature at her finest. Because of parking near the highway and often wet rocks on the way up, I would not recommend this cache for younger children.

This cache is named after the time available to actually see the falls as you drive past on Highway #1, and that is if you know exactly where you are looking. I have checked around and have not found the actual name of the creek or the falls. If anyone actually knows the real name, I will be happy to change the name of the cache or at least mention the correct name and/or any history.
"UPDATE" - Thanks to a few fellow cachers, we have determined that the name of these falls are KAY FALLS, there apparently used to be a sign on the highway in the 1980's. If anyone has some additional history on who Kay is/was, I will add it to the description of the cache. Parking - When heading west, as you approach the cache site, slow down and watch for a bridge. Go over the bridge and then pull off the shoulder on the right side and you will find a small, but adequate parking spot. When heading east, again slow down, watch for the bridge and cross it. Immediately across the bridge is a parking lot and the trail head. Approximate coordinates for the bridge are: N 50 58.525 W 118 36.373 As mentioned, the trail head is located on the south side of the highway at the easterly parking lot. The trail itself is short, fairly uneven and often has slippery rocks from rain and/or waterfall spray. UPDATE: 2011-08-01 - The cache has been moved closer to the trailhead, as the spray and the sporadic coordinates were causing some grief. I would recommend you go up the trail and enjoy the falls before coming back to log your experience.
