A scenic hike/ride on fireroads.
This cache has been placed in accordance with one of our smaller training rides. We have commenced training for the XPD (www.xpd.com.au) being held next year in the Whitsundays. We placed this cache on one of our training rides which all up took a shade under three hours. This is a 39Klm loop from our residence. We started at midnight and were home by 3am :)
The waypoints will start you off at the Gap and the final cache will be located at Ferny Grove. If you do hike it all, be aware that you may still have to get back to the car.
This is an ideal cache for Mountain Bikes or if you would like to do a long hike it is also suitable. The waypoints of this cache have been set into three legs enabling one to do this over a number of days instead of in one hit.
This is proabbly not everyones cup of tea and I dare say Geokids might get cranky. Starting waypoint is at the bottom of a hill (aren't they all) :) s27 26.963 e152 55.676 Please take suitable fluids. Each waypoint you will seek a micro and that will give you the co-ordinates for the next waypoint.
A FTF would reap the rewards of a Green Jeep Travel Bug. Maybe the motivation someone needs.
