Geocache Description:

WB42 is a marker along the old Michigan Air Line Railroad (later part of the Grand Trunk system) in the West Bloomfield Trail Network in West Bloomfield, MI.

The cache is a short two-stager based on some ideas we’ve seen in other caches.

FTF Honors (with extra credit for perseverance and tenacity) go to Peepz, Rattrak and Brummelbear! They found this cache in-spite of incorrect coordinates. Coords are now correct. Great effort!

Stage 1 is for you to discover.

Stage 2 is a smaller plastic container (recycled from the old Vice Versa cache) suitable for a log and smaller trade items. When placed, the cache contained only a log sheet; so BYOP (Bring Your Own Pencil).

YOU DO NOT NEED TO CROSS ANY FENCE TO SEARCH FOR, OR RETRIEVE, THIS CACHE.

The Network is a great place for walking and bicycling. The varied habitat is home to deer, fox, owls, herons, ducks and songbirds. The cache is along the rails-to-trails portion which runs about five miles from Arrowhead Rd. in West Bloomfield through Keego Harbor and Sylvan Lake to Telegraph Rd. in Pontiac. There are other caches along the trail,

Parking is available at each end of the West Bloomfield portion and at some road crossings along the path. Some residential areas have restricted parking; use your best judgment.
