Geocache Description:

Small, well camoed cache. About a foot long.

This area is said to be an acient tribal wrecking yard where the bodies of departed Hupmobiles, Desotos, Lasalles and even Studebakers have lain for years rusting and crumbling, finally to be covered over with earth and foliage, with the occasional horse contribution. When you wander down the path in the cool shade, stop for a while and listen, it's said if you stand very still and concentrate you'll hear a far off voice calling out...fore... DUCK DUFUS, YA WANNA GET HIT ON THE HEAD BY A GOLF BALL! DON'T JUST STAND THERE, BEND DOWN AND START RUNNING OR YOU'LL GET A TOP FLITE STUCK IN YER EAR!!!Hearing these earie words one day the city fathers were prompted to build a golf course next to the path so as to calm the public by making it appear natural to be bonked on the noggin by the spirit of a white orb. For some reason the spirits love to mess with GPS signals on some points of the path making it appear that nearby caches move about. One cacher actually followed a signal for a nearby cache down the path (even though the cache itself was across the freeway 2000 feet north) and was never seen again for a half hour. Fer real, read the book. There is parking nearby at the batting cage and skate park but if they are closed you might be able to park in the tennis courts facility (across the street) early in the morning. There is a two dollar bill or a scratcher for FTF and STF with other goodies for the rest. This path goes north to a whole bunch of other fun "chain" caches along the arroyo, so while you're here check them out for a nice hike and extra log points. Well this is a first, there was a stump here but it got muggled and the CACHE is still there. I went there with a new one for replacment and placed it near the fence but will retrieve it and do a swap with the old one soon.
