Geocache Description:

A nice walk along a winding trail takes you through a beautiful wetland area and then to the cache site.

Wildflowers abound along this trail.

This cache is located in the Marlborough Forest along what used to be the Klondike Road. Park at N 45 03.940 W075 49.858 and cross Roger Stevens Road to enter the trail marked E4. The round trip will be about 4km. There might be one very wet area in the spring where you may need rubber boots to proceed to the cache. The cache would also be accessible from the parking lot at N 45 04.819 W075 48.474 but it would be a much longer walk, although drier.

The cache is about 15m from the path in a fairly open area, so no real bushwacking is required. In late August the gentians are in bloom and there are many at N45 04.373 W075 50.487. Watch out for poison ivy along some parts of the trail that go through the more forested areas.

This is a fantastic place to take your dog(s). The path should be easily traversed with a large wheeled stroller, it is a gravel pathway.

The cache container is a large peanut butter container covered with camo tape. It contains a logbook, geocaching
manifesto, log and pencils, and an assortment of goodies for all ages.
