Geocache Description:

This cache is a 3 stage multi using your ability to do some very easy math skills. The final cache container is a decon container with a log book and pencil and a FTF gift. The terrain is generally very flat with no bushwacking needed.

The cache is placed in honor of my Great-Grandparents and the struggle they went through in order to make a better life for their children.

David & Emma Hillabush resided in Batavia during much of their married life but before that they struggled together in the coal mining region of Pennsylvania. David as a boy decided that the life of a miner was not for him so he left his 21 other siblings and jumped aboard a traveling circus wagon. He eventually made it to Buffalo and worked for a farmer who mistreated him. David finally turned to the one job that he knew best, mining, but this time it was for gypsum. During his life he would hold many various jobs.

Although you will be walking through a cemetery gathering information, look around at some of the beauty that is here.

The caretaker, Stephen Davis, has graciously granted permission for this cache so use your best behavior while visiting. There will be no need to turn over stones or move anything around.

During the winter, access will be limited and at times you may have to walk in from the front gate. Its not a long walk so enjoy the exercise.

Since this is a public cemetery it does have hours. PLEASE under no circumstances do this cache at night or during a funeral.

At the first waypoint you will need to gather the following information and fill in the coordinates to proceed.
N43 AB.CDE W078 AF.DEE

A- subtract Emma's age from David's
B- subtract the 4th digit in David's death year from the 3rd digit in Emma's death year
C- Marie's age minus George's age minus 19
D- the 3rd digit in David's birth year minus the 3rd digit in George's death year
E- the 4th digit in Emma's birth year minus the 4th digit in George's death year
F- the 3rd digit in Marie's death year

Once you arrive at the new waypoint you will need to figure out the coordinates for the final cache site. They are:
N42 GH.IJK W078 LM.NOP

G & H- take the year Martha died minus 1930
I, J & K- take the year Martha died minus 1070
L & M- take the month Sharon was born minus one (1)
N- Donald's birth year minus Martha's birth year minus the month he was born
O- the 4th digit in Donald's birth year minus the 3rd digit in his birth year
P- the 3rd digit in Sharon's birth year

Good luck and have fun. It's not as complicated as it looks.
