Geocache Description:

Enter off of Robin Ln. & Partridge Ave. near the fire hydrant. Follow trail along holding pond and go straight into the woods.

The Geocache is located on the Wisconsin state wildlife refuge of Rib Mountain State Park with the permission of William H. Burshaw, Property Manager, of the Wisconsin DNR. Your walk will start with a beautiful walk along the holding ponds for water run off and water for snow making at Granite Peak Ski area. You may see deer along here or ducks and geese stopping here on their migrations. Upon entering the woods you will notice a thick canopy of trees. This may make you lose your signal from, time to time, so hold your GPS unit high. You are almost certain to run into deer on your hike. They shelter in these woods during the day, and come out at night for food and water. Most are relatively tolerant of people, so you may get surprisingly close. If you sit on a log or on the ground at the base of a tree, they may walk over and check you out. Be sure to sit really still!!!!!!Please let us know how you liked the cache, and remember you may have to use the spoiler info. Good Luck!!!!!!
