Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden in one of our all time favorite summertime spots. If you have 4 wheel drive this is a great place to spend the day with the family, enjoy the views, and a great place for fishing. If you don't have 4 wheel drive, don't worry. It's just a short walk.

THE CACHE HAS BEEN MOVED DUE TO AN ENCROACHING INLET... EROSION WAS ABOUT TO SPOIL CHRISTMAS!!! DONT WORRY KIDS.. I MOVED THE PRESENT JUST A LITTLE WAYS AWAY (235 feet to the NW to be exact).

THE NEW COORDS ARE : N 34º 32.260' W 077º 20.609'

Christmas at the inlet? What's that about? Well, there are no lights, no ornaments, and no star on top, but if you think about it...there could be.

This is a great location for exploring, the path continues on around the island a good ways past the cache location. I have never followed it to the end, but it's such a cool spot I would recomend it. I hid the cache a good ways past where most people are on the beach, so you probably will not have much company over there (except the passing boaters). Still beware of the muggles, even though, you should'nt have to worry about them here.

If you DO NOT have 4 wheel drive you can park at :

(N 34°31.737) (W 077°20.686)

From here it is about 0.57 miles of beautiful beach walking along a wonderful inlet. You will have to cross over a small creek, so be prepared to roll your pants up, and take off your shoes. At low tide, you might not even have to do all that. Once you get to the creek, follow the vehilcle trail, and enjoy the scenery.

If you DO have 4 wheel drive, you can drive right to the cache on an EXTREMELY LOW TIDE. If not, you can drive right to the creek and park :

(N 34°32.094) (W 077°20.697)

After you cross over the creek follow the vehicle path trail, enjoy the scenery, especially the driftwood. Lots of really cool driftwood around there.

The cache itself is a small rubbermaid container, Please make sure you try to hide it back as you found it, and make sure the lid is secure.

I don't remember all original contents, but we do have:

log book / pencil
GeoCoin
Fishing Lure
Drink coozie
hmmmm definitely a few other things in there.. you'll have to find out for yourself.

GOOD LUCK, canvasguy
