The cache is accessible via either of two trailheads in Alamo: (1) the Macedo Ranch parking lot at the north end of Green Valley Road (part of Mt Diablo State Park; requires a fee); or (2) the cul-de-sac at the east end of Emmons Canyon Drive (walk for 200 yards on Country Oak Lane before the trail heads to the left; do not park on Country Oak Lane). These two trails merge well before the cache. There is a nearly 900 foot rise in elevation between either trailhead and the cache location. There is some poison oak near the cache site, so be careful.
