Geocache Description:

Well with this cache I might have lynched myself from the O.C.G. But hey, the closest town IS Pollock Pines.

If you are gathering caches for O.C.G. Snookered series, please take note. There could be some snow issues with this cache during part of the winter so do your planning accordingly!
It's easier to throw in some history than to revise this whole cache. Prior to "Snookered by the OCG", the original series was going to be similar to a monopoly board. Due to some technicalities, that cache was not allowed. I had placed this cache almost immediately, hence the references below...

One Friday evening we had a rather random draw of who got what property on the OCGopoly board (and even that took multiple attempts ). I was very unconcerned on which "properties" I ended up with, but when someone mentioned Baltic ??? one thing came to mind. I did not end up with it but Wetpaws did. However she was kind enough to trade with me (Thanks, PWP ).
So here is your Baltic ??? cache. Sitting up on a hill by itself with a good view out towards all those other OCGopoly properties. Now you just have to figure out how to get to the cache (just take Baltic ??? ).
This may or may not require a short walk, depending on if the gate is open. If the gate is open, you could probably drive right up to the very top. You could probably make it the entire way in a 2WD vehicle, but something with a bit more clearance will help immensely. And if you really mind small scratches in the side of your vehicle, well, what can I say?
There are other ways to get there also. I made a pleasant, late evening 2 km (each way) walk from my truck (way back in the middle of July). You can get within 250 m of the cache and dart uphill 400 vertical feet. Or you can just keep looking for the road until you find the right one. Just depends on how much exercise you want. If you are a really determined cacher and there is snow on the ground, you could also snowshoe to it. Wouldn't be the easiest to find in those conditions but if you were determined you would. It is all about the adventure, right
Oh, besides the cache there is a cool lookout here. If you have ever been to the Alder Ridge lookout at I'll Dare You to Look than this will look very familiar (I know at least one OCGer who has ). It's a shame that so much vandalism has occurred up there. Rumor has it that the original tower is going to be reassembled and put on display at the EDC Fairgrounds. PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL of the area despite the current conditions. I know you will, you are GEOCACHERS!
Cache container is a Costco peanut jar.
Have FUN!

This cache is part of a series within a series. Please make note of the coordinates and hints on the laminated tag for The Mystery Machine. Once you find The Mystery Machine there will be another clue to the much bigger Snookered By The O.C.G. - Magic 8 Ball.
Oh - one other note...if any of the tags you find refer to "Community Chest", that is what you are looking for. That was the previous name before it got changed to The Mystery Machine.
