After it was abandoned, I acquired the entire sum of the fortune
from Sergi's Legacy. You can read about the adventure in
my logs.
After that cold February day when I was visited by some "men in
black", I decided that I would have to be very cautious if I wanted
to try to invest some of Sergei's fortune. I took portions of the 9
million cash and laundered them through various accounts,
eventually yielding some "small" profits, some of which I used to
purchase cars and more jewlery. But recently I feel the activity
has brought more unwanted attention, so I need to widely distribute
these gains to others in the geocaching community.
Since it was determined that the Mr. Smith's original caches
contained some form of hidden tracking device, I am splitting them
back up again, but I will no longer keep them in their original
locations nor under the original single GC code. If you want to
help, you can start by seeking this first box, and taking part of
these profits for yourself. Only take a small amount, though. I
need this to be split amongst as many people as possible! If there
is less than $300 in the cache, please let me know and I'll
transfer in some more of the laundered money. And also be sure to
cover your tracks well. This part of the cash/cache is located very
nearby to where Mr. Smith originally placed stage 1, so you can
still park along Stagecoach Rd and take the trail south. You may be
exposed to other trail hikers while searching so take precautions
to avoid detection. And as always, please re-conceal the cache as
well, or better than you found it. I don't want this one discovered
by the casual hiker or hunter, who may decide to take the money and
run.
As previously, this container is on NC Gamelands, so while it is
good to go unnoticed, it is equally important to avoid being shot!
Wear your blaze orange on hunting days
and be courteous to those who might discover you.
One of the bills is marked with the codeword that will assist
you with stage
3 (Sadly, stage 2 was lost). Be sure to keep this particular
bill in with the ledger book. Thank you for your help!
