This is a replacement for my old "Nob Hill" cache, which
experienced container failure about six months ago. The new cache
is in a much nicer spot, in my opinion. It's a decon container,
hidden in a standard way.
Nob Hill (that's the name shown on a faded sign on the approach
to the summit) is my favorite lookout in the preserve. I used to
ride my mountain bike all over this area, and this was a favorite
rest stop.
There are many approaches to this hill, some easier than others.
The terrain rating is for the "normal" approaches through the
preserve. Fremont Older Open Space Preserve is open from dawn-dusk.
Please do not visit this cache when the preserve is closed.
Logs which clearly refer to visits during off hours will be
deleted.
