It is a bit harder than the Lowries Run Slopes cache. Both can be muddy after a rain. Great hiking and a fun place for the dogs to run and kids to climb. Please take caution during hunting season. Archery season starts Sept. 30 Of course, no Sunday hunting statewide.
The cache is off a deer trail. This cache will require some minor bush wacking. Shorter kids may have a problem finding this container. The container is a 1 gallon camo rubbermaid can. To enter the woods, locate the Lowries Run Slopes sign next to the BP gas station and Joe's beer distributor along Lowries Run Road. Walk directly behind the sign and into the woods via the trail. This donated property is in the Lowries Run Biological Diversity Area (BDA). It was Allegheny Land Trust's first holding in the BDA. We’ve been able to park at Bruster’s Ice Cream shop when it’s not busy. Please park in the rear.
