Wichita was founded where the Arkansas River and Little Arkansas River meet. Wichita, also known as the Air Capital, is the largest city in the state of Kansas, as well as a major aircraft manufacturing hub. The city is home to six major aircraft manufacturing companies.
Trivia: Kansas lies halfway between the east coast and the west coast. The name Kansas comes from an Indian word, Kansa, said to mean “people of the south wind.”
