Park at the Barton Flats Ranger Station (don't need Adventure Pass if you park here). Get a photocopied map (8.5 x 11 sheet of paper)from Ranger Station. Take the Rio Monte Panorama Trail. Follow the sign to Jenks Lake Trail. Enjoy Frog Creek on the right-hand side. Follow the sign on the left that says "Trail".When you see the rocks and the view to the west, head off trail at 230 degrees to the cache. Continue on up the trail to Jenks Lake (total distance of hike one-way 1.1 miles). Keep eyes peeled along trail for wildlife. We saw a doe, woodpeckers, a redtail hawk and a bobcat!
