In Plain Sight II Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

mizdeeds: Windrose and I had a long discussion today about this cache. Although it was one of our favorites, it has needed more maintenance than any other we put out, with us having to replace several stages many times. This hide had a long, 10-year run, and we totally enjoyed all the great logs from finders who seemed to love the hunt for this one. But, all things must come to an end, and sadly, we have decided it's time to archive this one. Thank you to everyone who visited! We loved getting to meet some of you, and hearing all the great feedback! Happy caching! ...Mizdeeds & Windrose [:D]

Geocache Description:

Here it is, the second in our "Plain Sight" series. Since you all thought Plain Sight I was rather easy, we took a little more time creating Plain Sight II.

Once again Windrose and I have collaborated to create a multi-cache that will test your perception and geocaching skills. Public parking for the first stage is available at N43° 17.744, W084° 08.342. Use this parking for the first stage. It is only a one and one-half block walk away. We don't want to upset any business owners who haven't granted permission for the use of their business's parking lots. There is plenty of available parking close to all the other stages. There is little or no bushwacking required to do this cache, please respect the areas you will be searching in. When you get to Stage 6, it is NOT in the flowers! And PLEASE, do not tamper with any electrical boxes near any of the stages!! They are NOT part of any stage!!

Permission was requested and granted for placement of all stages.

This multi has 7 stages you will need to find before you get to the final. Some of the stages are very small, and others are kind of small or maybe medium. No bison tubes, nano's, or film canisters were harmed in the making of this multi. There are no puzzles or calculations for you to do. Each stage will give you the coordinates to the next stage, and you will have a nice tour of many interesting places in the small town of St. Charles. You should be able to drive reasonably close to all stages, and you will have to drive 1-2 miles between a couple of the stages.

I've had a few people tell me that they never read these cache listing pages, believing that there is no real information on them leading to the cache, but just the owner blathering on and on about the area they are luring all you seekers to. So, those people will miss out on any small hints I may have put here on this page. On the other hand, those of you who are reading every word might just find out something that could help you in finding the various stages of this multi (or maybe I’m just blathering on and on about St. Charles!). Leave no stone unturned, don’t believe everything you see, and don’t rest on your laurels until you’ve found the final!

There is a special First Finder's prize of an unactivated, trackable "generic" geocoin just waiting to be grabbed.

Please use stealth when retrieving the stages. And PLEASE replace each stage as you found it. Also -- please do not post any spoilers about the stages in your log -- We'd hate to be forced to delete your log because it gave something away.

For now, there are no additional hints. We may add some at a later date if circumstances warrant it.

Coordinates were acquired using a Magellan Meridian (that's for you Garmin people whom I never seem to match up with! )

Additional Hints (No hints available.)
