Geocache Description:

Pierre Lake (106 acres): If you like bullhead catfish, this is your lake. Lots of Largemouth bass, an occasional kokanee, and several kinds of trout are also available.

From highway 395 go East from Barstow, WA on Barstow Bridge Rd for about a mile. After crossing the Kettle River on a one lane bridge stay left on Pierre Lake Rd. You can't miss the lake on your right(East) about 8-9 miles up the road. It's a paved road all the way to the Forest Service campground, ($6/per night-first come first serve), there's also a boat launch, a swimming/picnic area with pit toilets, but NO WATER. I'm sure the campground is seasonal, so be sure to check if it's open if you plan on camping early in the spring or later in the fall.

Please be sure to hide the cache well since campgrounds are prone to have natural mugglers looking for firewood.

This cache was placed to commerate our family campout on Labor Day Weekend 2006
