PARKING @ N32 31.441 W 83 36.651 This was a KAOLIN MINING PIT(white clay). Kaolin is what gives paper that brillant white coloring. It is also used in plastics and porcelin. Georgia is ranked # 2 in production. Macon has pits and Gordon, Georgia also. Big $$$ for this "white gold" as the call it. Hey you learn something new everyday!
