This cache is located near a pretty secluded lake called the Alder Marsh on State Game Lands 159. The area is remote enough to make you feel like you have left civilization behind for a while. Wildlife is very abundant, you may see deer, bear and turkey. I have even been at the lake in the winter and watched river otters play in the slush. Suggested parking is at N41 43.527 W075 15.543. Round trip from the parking lot is just under 3 miles. But don't be scared, the walk is on a pretty well maintained game lands road. The only time it might be difficult is in times of deep snow, then just bring your cross country skis. I walk here with the pups and they have no trouble as long as we bring a drink to have when we get to the lake. After you find the cache there is a picnic table by the lake where you can rest and examine the contents and sign the log. This cache is on State Game Lands so BE SURE TO FOLLOW ALL LAWS AND REGULATIONS!!! REMEMBER TO WEAR YOUR ORANGE FROM NOVEMBER 15th - DECEMBER 15th. REGULATIONS ARE POSTED IN THE PARKING LOT!!! READ THEM!!! As always please grab any trash you may encounter. We have more caches planned for this area in the future. I hope you enjoy this little spot as much as me and the pups.
