Anniversary Cache Traditional Cache
The flying nunns: Am going to archive this listing as it is no longer there. Must have disappeared with the hunters in the fall or the winds of nature. Will open up the area for a new cache.

Cache is located at Michaud Point. Go to Point Michaud Provincial Park and look across. Yep, it's over there!
This cache is located off a trail that begins at Point Michaud Provincial Picnic Park not far from St. Peters.
Travel along the #4 Hwy and turn onto Highway 247. Park is about 20 km up this road. Great spot to have a picnic lunch and take to a walk along the beach. To get to the cache walk along the beach until you get to the end of the sand. You will find an ATV trail to your right. Continue on the trail around the cove. We saw sandpipers, piping plovers and seals as well as a number of other birds. Please respect their privacy. Hike to cache is about 7 km return and took us about 2 hours including breaks. Take water with you and try to go at low tide or you will be crossing the stinky stream in your boots or bare feet.
About 5-10 minutes hike past the cache site is another secluded beach. Trail map and description can be found in Michael Haynes book "Hiking Trails of Cape Breton"
Cache includes a "very small" logbook, pen and small trading items. Cache was hidden on a special day for us.
