Geocache Description:

Paved bike and foot trail with a great view of the river.

From the late 19th Century to the mid 20th Century, the west end of the Upper Landing was home to a residential community that became known as Little Italy. The east end was a home to a variety of river-related industrial operations culminating in the construction of grain elevators in 1916. World War II and the spring floods of 1951 and 1952 caused the City to re-zone the area for industrial use. By the end of the 1950s, the last residents had left, and the Kaplan Scrap Iron Company operated on the site until the City acquired the property (1988) and demolished the buildings (1990). In the past three years, the Science Museum has been developed to the east of the site, and the new Shepard Warner Road was developed to the north of the site.

Container is one of my small camoed water bottles loaded with goodies. You should not have to jump any fences for this one.
