Geocache Description:

Friendswood Heritage Festival Geocaching Ramble.

The Friendswood Heritage Society is hosting a Festival on October 7th from 11am-3pm. Family entertainment, games, food, tours, raffles, art, and crafts will be available at both the Frank J. Brown Museum (108 Skyview Ter) and Perry Home (105 W. Spreading Oaks) located in town. In honor of the Heritage Festival, the Friendswood Public Library is sponsoring a Geocaching Ramble that day. Several temporary caches will be hidden at several locations of historical significance within the City of Friendswood. The caches will contain treasure that should be claimed without trade. An explanation of the locations' historical significance will be included in the caches.

Everyone is welcome to meet at the Friendswood Public Library to kick off the day with a meet and greet for cachers with refreshments at 10am. After we socialize for a while and trade stories, coins, etc., we will pass out a handout containing the coordinates for the special event caches and a list of questions for each cache. A prize will be given to each group that returns to the Friendswood Library with the questions correctly answered. If you miss the meet and greet you can still pick up the handout and questions at the library any time between 10am and 5pm.

The caches for this event will only be available on October 7th.

While you are at the Library, be sure to check out the official cache “Tree of Knowledge” (GCX29N) if you haven't done so yet. Here are a few other offical caches in the Friendswood area.
