dsvaughn: I have had many issues with this cache over the past 14 months and have decided to archive it.
The original container was a Tony Stewart NASCAR Mint Tin and never once got wet inside. The only problem was that it would dissappear. After replacing it three times, I havn't been able to find these containers. I replaced it with a small Altoids tin but it immediately got wet inside and the log is either frozen in a solid block of ice or soaking wet.
There is also the issue with the wasps. When I originally went to place the cache, I got the coordinates noted and when I lifted the skirt to place the cache, wasps started flying out at me. I then needed to find another place nearby to place it. I found another lamp post and it was there for a while but the muggle traffic was sometimes impossible. Several months later, I checked the other spot and the wasp nest was laying on the ground. I moved it back over there but still heard of the occasional wasp sighting.
So, with the boring generic container and the wasp nest in the lamp post skirt, it is time for this one to come to an end.
