We decided that the new Sammamish trail needed some caches so we
set out to place several along its length. We soon came to find
that there are not a lot of great hiding spots along this trail
that don't either fall on private property or in a
Wetland/Sensitive Area. Please respect the local property owners
privacy and be aware that the trail is open during daylight hours
only.
1/22/08 Replaced cointainer with a small camo Lock-n-Lock.
Parking can be a challenge in this area. Please be careful of
traffic. There is public parking about 1/2 mile south with room for
about 4 cars and a porta potty at N47 37.365 W122 04.196. This is
the safest way in, especially with kids and dogs. There are a few
other wide areas along the road but many don't have public access
to the trail. Please use good judgement and respect the homeowners'
property. We rode our bikes from Issaquah to place this one.
