After the experienced cachers are turned loose on the several
hidden event caches along the beautiful Bear Creek trails, there
will be a Geocaching 101 class for beginners wanting to know about
Geocaching. After the
class, the beginners will start finding their first caches with the
instructors. Don’t
have a GPS? No
problem! There will be
GPS units you can borrow for the day!
This
class is also co-sponsored by the Community Education Coalition, in
Connersville, as a family oriented event and they have provided the
rent for the lodge, food, cache supplies, door prizes and even
loaner Garmin GPS’s for the class. Thanks CEC!!!
This is a simply wonderful family activity for those of you with
pre-teens or teens, because it’s exciting and engaging, and because
most geocaches are hidden by a beautiful view, an historic
structure, or really amazing hiding place – in plain
sight!
