Geocache Description:

The cache is located in Red Rock Canyon State Park, just south of Hinton, OK. Park is closed from 11PM to 6AM unless you are camping.

This is my first full size cache to hide. Cache is a .30 Cal Ammo Can. There are a lot of steep and slick spots along the rocks so please watch your step. As with the other caches in this park, there are plenty of great spots to look out over the park and it is very pretty in the fall. If you are passing through on I-40, this park is well worth the small detour off of the big road to come find the 7 caches in the State Park.

The easiest way to the cache is to park at the California Road trailhead at N 35 26.449 by W 098 21.278. Climb to the top of the Sandrock Staircase, then turn left and follow the sandrock shelf south until you get to the small trail leading up to the cache. There is no climbing nor bushwhacking needed to get to this cache, only some hiking.

Please hide the container as you found it as to prevent muggling. Red Rock Canyon is our absolutely favorite place to camp - year round, unless the road into the canyon is icy, then forget it - please practice CITO and Tread Lightly. RV camping costs $15 and there is a free modern dump station in the park. There is no entry fee to get into the park.

FTF gets the privilege of being held in high esteem by other Western OK cachers. Also, your looks will improve, and members of the other sex will find you irresistible. Congratulations to JAMGUYS for the FTF.
