Panther Creek Bridge (sort of) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ncbiscuit: After a DNF on what should be an easy find, the dogs and I checked on this geocache today and did not find it. This area has really changed in 14 years. When we placed the geocache, there were no houses, no bridge, and the trail was not paved. Opening up the spot for somebody else.

Geocache Description:

I am looking forward to the day when the American Tobacco Trail is complete and runs from the Durham Bulls baseball park in Durham County, through a slice of Chatham County, and to the end at New Hill in Wake County.

This cache hunt will take you NEAR to the end of this section of the ATT -- close to the washed out train trestle over Panther Creek. I had wanted to hide my cache at the end, but someone beat me to it!

The hike to the cache is about .70 miles from the trail head (Trail head is at N35 49.024 W078 55.675) off New Hope Church Road. The trail had been mowed when I placed the cache, but the trail can be weedy at times.
