Celebrating Green! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cascade Reviewer: As I haven't heard from the cache owner, I must regretfully archive this cache.

If you decide to work on this cache, or have any questions at all, please email me at cascadereviewer@gmail.com. If you are able to fix the issues and the cache still meets all of the guidelines, it's possible that I could unarchive it at that time.

Thanks,

Geocache Description:

This camoed medium-sized lok-n-lok is located in a park of a different sort. The location may make it difficult to reach and sign the cache without attracting attention. You will also need to find a place to park. Do not park on the shoulder of SR240. This one might best be done before or after normal work hours or on weekends. Foliage may interfere with readings, but I averaged 3 times and also checked readings with a second receiver.

This is one of the first patches of green that you come to as you leave the by-pass highway and head out toward the Arid Lands Ecology Reserve. I always feel like celebrating each tree, bush, and square of grass that adds a touch of technicolor to our lovely but muted sage and sand tones.

With that in mind, I have stocked this small cache with things green. Of these my favorite is the green patch of the Ivy Division (the Army's 4th Infantry) that my son proudly wears on his shoulder. For that reason you will usually find 4th ID items mixed in amongst the swag. A 4th ID challenge coin was the FTF prize. It was turned into a travel bug by the Queen of FTF, Debiko, that will soon be taken to Ft. Hood for the beginning of its (hopefully) long journey.
