Derwent Views Traditional Cache

A great track for jogging, walking the dog, or just admiring the views.
For the first 6 or 7 years after placing this cache, the southern entrance to this path (opposite up from the Botanical Gardens) was technically "closed" because it was deemed unsafe walking beside and across the railway tracks. A nice little crossing now goes from the cycle path over the tracks to access the track. The northern access end is at the car park near the boatsheds at Cornelian Bay.
Be aware that this is on the nice compressed gravel path that is closer to the river than the bike track and railway tracks so make sure you get on it before you start walking towards the cache, otherwise you'll have a very high fence that you'll have to scale.
Hopefully this replacement will prove third time lucky in its new location (November 2010). Going smaller scale - just a log, a very short pencil! and sharpener.
