Geocache Description:

Come and marvel at how The Other Half lives, and soak up some of the splendour of their cushy lives!
This cache will take you on a pleasant drive to some prime residences in the Fernwood - Bishop’s Court - Constantia area, ending off with a delightful 10 minute stroll (and perchance a hint of mud!)

1 – The listed co-ords are in a very newly built area, which used to be forest just 3 years ago. Here you will find some charming houses, owned by people who can afford to pay for the spectacular view, but not for much of a plot by the looks of things. But boy, I wouldn’t mind owning this view!

What number is the house at the above co-ords? (The house has a bunch of grapes on the façade) = AB

2 – S33° 59.(A+B)72
E018° 26.4AB

Here you will find a walled in house, which seems quite impressive if you can sneak a peak through the gate. Nice looking gardens!
The houses name is Villa Gran ???.
How many letters are in the missing word? = C

3 - S33° 59.(C+4)A5
E018° 26.8(Cx2)4

It might take some maneuvering to find this house if you don’t have mapping software.
This house itself is not so great, but it sure does have a winning view!
What number is it? = D
(I am referring to the house on the lower side of the street)

4 - S33° 59.D(C+B)5
E018° 26.(D-3)41

Here you will see the walls of the massive expanse of Villa Da Vinci, and might be able to get a peak of this mansion through the gates. I believe this is (or was) owned by the super rich Marino Chiavelli, who has (or had) a very similar property in JHB too, and who knows where else! Lucky Scoundrel!!

Across the road from the mansion is a plaque commemorating Van Riebeek’s Hedge. What year was this planted? = 16EF

5 - S33° 59.(E+1)18
E018° 26.AF1

I really love the neo-classical baroque Lemony-Snickettesque design of this house, named after our national flower.
What number is this house? = G2

6 - S34° 00.(G-3)10
E018° 26.1(G+1)9

I wouldn’t complain if anyone offered to buy me this Tuscan Villa. Any offers? What is the number of this house? = 1H(B)
Note: The B in brackets here is part of the actual number of the house, and not the B found in house number 1. Sorry about the confusion :o)

Final Cache:
S34° 00.HDF
E018° 25.(H+1)27

I suggest parking at :
S34° 00.C53
E018° 25.(G+H+1)99

I would be interested to know which of the houses most people would prefer to live in. Please post this in your log, or I might just be a swine and delete it :o)

The Other Half are soon to be seen holidaying on the coast, so keep an eye out for that exciting trip in the near future!
